Winners of the agroecology contest now revealed

Following an open call for submissions as part of a special contest, open to all members of the Agroecology TPP Community of Practice (CoP), today the Agroecology TPP Secretariat is delighted to announce the winners, who will participate in-person at the Annual Members Forum meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, on 12-13 March 2024.

???? ???? The three winners are:

????Karina Goncalves David
????Simon Edegbo
????Maimuna Jawara

The contest sought to encourage CoP members to record and share their agroecological practices within the Community of Practice as well as register them via an interactive worldwide map (One Million Voices of Agroecology).

The submissions – 53 in total – were evaluated against a number of set parameters, including:

– The video quality and intent
– The proposal / practice itself, including its complexity and the level of detail provided
– The level of engagement a given submission has produced – referring to the readiness to reply to questions via a comment box
– The typology of the practice, i.e., household and/or farm level, research-oriented, etc.
– The inclusion (or exclusion) of the link to the One Million Voices of Agroecology – as set out in the original brief, the link provided extra points

The Agroecology TPP Secretariat would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who participated in the contest, and congratulate the winners!
