GLF Nairobi 2023 Watch Parties: A Celebration of Global Cooperation and Shared Journey

In a world that’s becoming increasingly interconnected, the power of community and shared experiences is paramount. The recently concluded GLF Nairobi 2023 beautifully exemplified this notion, showcasing the strength of collaborative learning and networking on a global scale.

As part of this year’s event, GLFx Chapters worldwide embarked on an extraordinary journey, hosting Watch Parties that brought communities together to witness, discuss, and engage with the hybrid conference. These Watch Parties became an essential component of the GLF Nairobi experience, providing an opportunity for meaningful conversations and shared insights.

Over the course of two days, these gatherings managed to transcend borders and boundaries. More than 280 participants from 7 different countries (Malawi, Cameroon, Nigeria, South Sudan, El Salvador, Ghana, and Benin) joined forces in 10 Watch Parties, organized by the following Chapters: Plan de Amayo, Juba, Porto-Novo, Lilongwe, Bawku, Dowa, Yaoundé, Nkambe, Uyo, and Ibadan. The participants actively participated in discussions, networking, and jointly navigated through the conference’s content in 3 languages (8 in English, 1 in French, and 1 in Spanish).

The significance of these Watch Parties cannot be overstated. They not only expanded the reach of GLF Nairobi 2023 but also created a sense of belonging among diverse participants. Attendees were exposed to new ideas, experiences, and perspectives enriching the depth of their engagement with the conference.

In a world grappling with climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequalities, the importance of such cross-cultural dialogues cannot be underestimated. The Watch Parties served to, emphasize the need for global solidarity and cooperative learning. They fostered an environment where expertise, knowledge, and experiences merged, generating an ecosystem of shared wisdom and collective empowerment.

We extend our sincere gratitude to every participant and every Chapter who helped make these Watch Parties an overwhelming success. Your enthusiasm and active involvement have left a mark on the GLF Nairobi 2023 Conference. Together, we’ve proven that despite the challenges our world faces, the bonds that connect us are stronger and more vibrant than ever!
